TIBCO is seeking a principal technical writer with a strong technical background to write user documentation for various TIBCO products. Writer must be able to work independently to gather information directly from the product team - development, QA, support engineers, and product managers -- and write complete manuals from scratch. Writer will also have opportunities to contribute to the user interface design and content. Here are some more details:
Plan, research, write, illustrate, and edit existing or new product manuals.
Work closely with development, quality assurance, support, product management, and other teams to ensure technical accuracy of content.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills in interacting with other functional teams, and the ability to ask the right questions.
Gain extensive hands-on experience with products to gain an in-depth understanding of the products' features and functionality.
Must be able to manage time and tasks effectively.
Explore new delivery models and formats for documentation.
Demonstrate individual initiative in a team environment.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of software development models and processes.
Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies.
Experience with structured authoring is a plus.
Management experience is a plus.
Will need to bring writing samples to interview.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
