Boutique corporate law firm located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, focusing on commercial litigation and real estate transactions, is seeking full-time receptionist/legal assistant. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Greeting clients and visitors.
Answering the office phone, directing calls to the requested attorney or individual, and taking detailed messages.
Receiving and sorting incoming mail as well as ensuring the delivery of outgoing mail to couriers or the US Postal Service.
Ordering and stocking office supplies.
Maintaining client confidence by keeping client and attorney information confidential.
Scheduling attorney meetings.
Managing firm client list.
Transcribing dictation and preparing legal documents.
Maintaining and organizing hard copies and electronic filing system.
Drafting and editing legal documents as well as conducting limited legal research.
Ordering and reviewing title work.
Obtaining payoffs of liens/mortgages, judgments and tax liens.
Preparing documents for all transactions.
Maintaining corporate books and records as well as obtaining Employer Identification Numbers.
Skills
Excellent Organization Skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
Detail oriented.
Proficient at Microsoft Office.
Ability to work in a stressful environment.
Flexible and consistent (arriving on time).
Excellent client relation skills.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
