General Purpose:
Responsible for reviewing short order requests, making decisions as to best possible ship dates, communicating to manufacturing, and following order until it is complete and in the hands of shipping.
Essential Functions: Review requests for Mock ups, service orders, high profile orders, orders that have been quoted long through MP or any other order that requires something out of the normal process. This includes external HMI orders, OEM and intra company business. Confirm product information is in place. This includes released prints, routing is in place, bill of materials is in place, print is released, program is available, and costing is in Baan before the order can be accepted. Confirm systems have accepted the new order or product. This includes mainframe (1st), Rhythm (2nd) and Baan (3rd). Work with scheduling to negotiate best possible build date required to meet shipment of product on time & complete. This may (and often does) require manufacturing to work over time so this does need to be communicated. Use Product Shortage Application to communicate to distribution status of open orders. Monitor most Baan reports such as Match / Merge, open production orders by resource, drop in reports, items due without Baan production orders and short orders. Be willing to pick up or deliver parts and products required for hot orders. Negotiate a new date that can be reliably committed to rather than the date requested. Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.
Minimum Requirements: Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing and roles related to scheduling, production coordinating and quality. Proficient working ability with the following computer programs, Rhythm, Baan, and Mainframe The demonstrated ability to build strong relationship within many different areas of the organization. Demonstrates ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external business partners. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional presentation skills, and ability to influence outcomes in a favorable manner. Must be flexible and able to work independently. Must be able to assess situations and make decisions. Demonstrated ability to effectively use office automation, communication, software and tools currently used in the HMI office environment. Ability to work effieciently and effectively in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and varying levels of urgency. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
