The incumbent is an experienced professional, licensed at the independent level with proven skills in administration and leadership who directs other social workers in the practice of clinical social work. This includes Patient Aligned Care Teams (PACT), Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraq Freedom/Operation New Dawn (OEF/OIF/OND) program, Caregiver Support Program, and Women's Rural Telehealth Case Management. The incumbent provides supervision, guidance, and direction to multiple disciplines assigned to PACT and the OEF/OIF/OND program in the VAMHCS. The incumbent oversees the timely and appropriate response for Primary Care, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Homeless Services consults. The incumbent is knowledgeable in VHA, VBA, and community resources for Veterans.
The incumbent observes workers' performance; demonstrates and conducts work performance critiques. Provides informal feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Incumbent works to resolves informal complaints and grievances. He/she conducts ongoing professional practice evaluation of their supervisees and provides clinical supervisor for those supervisees who are seeking their independent licensure. Develops work improvement plans, recommending personnel actions as necessary. Reviews and approves or disapproves leave requests. Incumbent assures that subordinates are trained and fully comply with the provisions of the safety regulations. The incumbent works closely with the Social Work universities and colleges in the teaching of interns and fellows.
The incumbent directs social work clinical services for patients in Managed Care and ensures that all locations have sufficient coverage, arranges contingencies for social work services, and in some cases responds to emergencies or other untoward events at the Managed Care sites. The incumbent functions as a member of the leadership team of the Social Work Service and shares in the professional and administrative responsibilities for planning, organizing and directing services. The incumbent recruits and hires social workers and participates in the selection of other employees in the Managed Care Clinical Center. He/she participates in performance improvement projects for Managed Care Clinical Center and the Social Work Service. The incumbent works closely with representatives from the National Guard and the DoD to ensure the seamless transition of services for Veterans returning form deployments across the globe.
_BASIC REQUIREMENTS_

English Language Proficiency: Social Worker must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Licensure: Must possess a current, licensed or certified at the advanced practice level and must be able to provide supervision for subordinate staff to qualify for licensure
Education-Degree: Have a master's degree in social work from a school of social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). Graduates of schools of social work that are in candidacy status do not meet this requirement until the school of social work is fully accredited. A doctoral degree in social work _may not_be substituted for the master's degree in social work.

(1) Experience. In addition to meeting the basic requirements, applicants must have the equivalent of 1 year of creditable experience comparable to the next lower level (GS-13), which is directly related to the position to be filled.

1. ___Advanced knowledge of and mastery of theories and modalities used in the specialized treatment of complex physical or mental illness. Ability to incorporate complex multiple causation in differential diagnosis and treatment of veteran patients, including making psychosocial and psychiatric diagnoses within approved clinical privileges or scope of practice. Ability to determine priority for services and provide specialized treatment services. _

2. ___Advanced and expert skill in a range of specialized interventions and treatment modalities used in specialty treatment programs or with special patient populations. This includes individual, group, and/or family counseling or psychotherapy and advanced level psychosocial and/or case management interventions used in the treatment of veterans with polytraumatic injuries, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, visual impairment, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc. _

3. ___Advanced knowledge and expert skill in developing and implementing methods for measuring effectiveness of social work practice and services in the specialty area, utilizing outcome evaluations to improve treatment services. Ability to coordinate the delivery of specialized psychosocial services and programs. Ability to design system changes based on empirical findings. _

4. ___Ability to provide subject matter consultation to colleagues and students on the psychosocial treatment of patients treated in the specialty area, rendering professional opinions based on experience and expertise and role modeling effective social work practice skills. Ability to teach and mentor staff and students in the specialty area of practice and to provide supervision for licensure or for specialty certifications.__._

Ability to expand clinical knowledge in the profession, demonstrating innovation in the creation of new models of psychosocial assessment or intervention to identify and address specialized clinical needs. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster.
