Shipman & Goodwin LLP, a Connecticut based law firm with over 160 lawyers inConnecticut and Washington, D.C., is seeking anexperienced nurse paralegal to join our thriving national tort and productliability defense litigation practice in our Hartford office.
Theposition will focus on pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.
Candidates should have four plus years of experience working on complex federal and state court litigation cases and familiarity with state and federal court rules and procedures is essential.
Alicensed RN with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, at least two years of patientcare experience and a paralegal certificate is preferred.
Experienceand familiarity with reviewing medical records, charting, creating medicalchronologies and timelines, summarizing medication and treatment care andidentifying and screening experts is required.
Experience with Case Mapnecessary.
Must have excellent case management skills, superiorcommunication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
