The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for completing technical deliverables on projects assigned.
Engineer's technical deliverables on small or moderate size Global Infrastructure Services or Client projects reporting directly to assigned Project Manager, or staff resource responsible for completing assigned deliverables on large scale global projects reporting directly to the Global Infrastructure Services Technical/Team Lead.
Responsible for producing Global Infrastructure Services deliverables meeting or exceeding benchmarks for quality and performance in accordance with the project timeline.
Responsible for maintaining effective and consistent communication within you team, within IE peer teams, and the resources in other IT groups. Proactively raise issues to Team Leads when necessary.
Provides Level 4 support to Operations in the field of expertise.
Essential functions of the job:
Experienced technical knowledge in specialty area with basic knowledge of complementary infrastructures
Develop and deliver infrastructure solutions
Maintain adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
Provide support and documentation to assist in sustaining the project during the transition to production
Adhere to Global Infrastructure Services methodologies and Enterprise Architecture global standards.
Provide feedback regarding Global Infrastructure Services methodologies, standards and leading practices
Identify potential points of contention for missed activities and notify project leadership of situation
Produce accurate, brief and clearly written documents tailored to audience needs and expectations
Build positive relationships with internal professionals and client personnel by demonstrating integrity and genuineness
Develop a diverse network of relationships with others that entail mutual sharing of ideas, knowledge, and resources
Clarify roles and responsibilities collaboratively with team members to improve their level of commitment and alignment with requirements
Identify and pursue opportunities for leveraging information and resources across assignments and teams
Minimizes technical exposure and risk on projects
Work closely with:
o Global Infrastructure Services Team/Group Leads to understand strategic goals/objectives and translate into actionable plans
o Global Infrastructure Services Team/Group Leads to successfully implement, use, and monitor BSC initiatives
o Global Infrastructure Services to build solutions as part of end-to-end projects
o Operations managers to effectively and efficiently support the project during the transition phase
Requirements
Required skills and competencies:
Solid interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a contributing member of global technical teams that deliver quality services
Technical skills in designing, documenting, supporting, and implementing infrastructure projects
Knowledge of organizational structure of the firm to facilitate work with groups outside of the immediate technical team
Possesses an understanding of IT Services: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure
Advanced knowledge of public key infrastructure and certificate management and usage
Strong Knowledge of CA services including CA's, CRL's, LDAP, SSL, SCEP, OCSP, RA process, and NDES, CSR
Knowledge of Hardware Security Module (HSM)
Knowledge of Internet X.509 Public Key Certificate Infrastructure
Knowledge of Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) and Single Sign on (SSO) Technologies
Understanding of Smart Card Authentication
Knowledge of PKI monitoring requirements
Knowledge of Cryptographic APIs : CAPI (CNG)
Knowledge of PKI Test Tools : PKIF, PITT
Ensure documentation reflects PKI infrastructure
Understanding of Kerberos-based single sign on authentication
Ability to coordinate and support large and complex projects including upgrades, enhancements and new capabilities deployed to the PKI infrastructure
Understanding of Windows 2003/2008/2012 and Linux server operating system basics
Basic understanding of networking, including DNS, WINS, firewalls, DMZ, public and private networks, and VPNs
Knowledge of Active Directory infrastructures
Self-starter with strong organizational skills, strong sense of teamwork, and attention to detail
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
Ability to work with virtual teams spanning multiple geographies, cultures, and time zones
Fluent spoken and written English
Additional desirable skills and competencies:
Experience with implementing and supporting Federation technologies, including Active Directory Federated Services, Siteminder, and other SAML-based productsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
