Liberty Mutual Global Specialty IT is actively searching for a Manager - Special Projects. Global Specialty IT provides support and operations for all global specialty lines including Liberty International Underwriters (LIU), Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM), and Liberty Mutual Surety (LMS) across 19 countries, through one unified IT team. In this position, you will direct all aspects of the highly visible and comprehensive SBU IT reporting projects. Negotiate project objectives and direction with senior managers. Projects vary in scope and duration.
Responsibilities:
Conceptualizes immediate and long-range needs of the Global Specialty IT organization, with respect to governance of projects, finances, and the organization.
Translates needs into a comprehensive reporting project plan which ensures successful project completion.
Responsible for production of IT dashboards, determining the most efficient way to collect required data.
Negotiates project objectives and direction with manager, other Senior Directors in Global Specialty IT, and the Global Specialty IT CIO. Works closely and extensively with Global Specialty IT PMO and Finance Staff.
Identifies sources and relationships of Global Specialty, IT, and corporate data and makes recommendations/decisions regarding consolidation and storage of data for access by Senior Managers.
Develops reports using a variety of tools. Extensive knowledge of VBA/Excel, SQL, SharePoint Connectivity Services. Experience with Tableau, TFS Analysis Services, Remedy, and Clarity desirable.
Formats reports to ensure information is highly visual, easily consumed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, advanced degree or professional designation preferred.
Minimum of 7-9 years progressively more responsible experience in a reporting and/or project management environment with exposure to project planning, simulation, modeling, capital budgeting, cost benefit analysis and information systems development required.
Strong negotiation skills also required.
