The Disability Coordinator is accountable for ensuring the consistent application and adherence of the claims management program for STD & LTD with both the vendor and the field team (HR & Supervisor) to reduce claim incidence and duration. Role also includes accountability for STD payroll oversight by ensuring timely and accurate payments are occurring for all active cases.
Accountabilities
Accountable to manage STD program as well as the Absence Management program with HR clients and vendor
Accountable with vendor to ensure scripting and processes are aligned with best practice and or ability to create administration synergies and make recommendations to the PCLC team
Regular review of all active STD claims to ensure timely communication and follow up is occurring between vendor and field teams to progress claims, reduce claim duration and costs
Liase with vendor to ensure compliance with processes (STD and Absence Management)
Governance accountability to ensure program management is adhered to
Liaison between field team and vendors to remove any barriers related to claim progression
Support the return to work program as required by removing any barriers and ensuring the appropriate meetings are occurring with the right participants
Period review of all active rehab LTD claims to ensure RTW opportunities are being addressed in a timely manner by coordinating meetings with the field team & vendor to facilitate RTW
Weekly payroll audit of all active STD cases to ensure accuracy of all STD payments
Immediately address/resolve any payroll issues and communicate update to field team
Ensure Employer portion of LTD claim submission occurs within required timelines and provide updates & direction on next steps to field team if employee submission is delayed
Support local HR with timely information for SAP status updates related to LTD
Ensure accurate & timely benefit premium collections related to LTD and WCB
Field questions and provide relevant education to Supervisors & HR regarding STD & LTD programs
Ensure all program documents are up to date and maintained on all required access points
Escalate issues to appropriate team members in a timely manner
This is a shared services role accountable for both PFC and PBC employees.
Key Skills/Experience Required
Minimum education: 3 years in a related field or equivalent work experience
Previous experience in disability management field &/or working within an HR Department
Ability to apply past learnings to current cases to enable the right outcomes in a timely manner.
Ability to understand the issue and engage the right participants to ensure an effective resolution in a timely manner to impact targets and goals.
Deep knowledge and understanding of all STD and LTD programs to include plan design, policies, contracts and vendor programs/processes Problem solving and solution-oriented capability
Excellent/effective communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and achieve tight deadlines
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
