BASIC FUNCTION
This position within the Quality Assurance Department is responsible for hands-on evaluation of incoming product (material handling, industrial truck, and aerial work platform parts and accessories) to ensure specification conformance of such product as furnished by approved supplier.
RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Evaluate product to verify conformance in workmanship, construction, function and overall integrity as required by engineering specifications or OEM samples. Perform detailed dimensional evaluation of product and accurately document inspection record accordingly in QA database
Assist in final disposition of received product
Evaluate TVH manufactured product to ensure that it has been manufactured to meet or exceed TVH specifications
Communicate interdepartmentally with team members from purchasing, research and development, operations, production, engineering, and sales to identify their needs, and assist in processing solutions in a timely manner
Other Duties, Responsibilities, and Requirements
Periodically calibrate precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, etc. using gauge blocks or other suitable tools which are in the calibration system and traceable to NIST
Administrative duties include maintenance and organization of product inspection records in the QA database
Assist Quality Assurance Manager in other related projects as required
Contributes to the overall team effort of the QA Department by accomplishing related results as needed
Knowledge of and efficiency in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word)
Education Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings as needed
Technical and mechanical background preferred
Experience in the material handling, lift truck, automotive, or industrial equipment industry a plus
AS400 experience a plus
Work Experience
Must have previous QA or QC inspection work experience
Must demonstrate advanced knowledge of technical measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, thread gauges, hardness testers, etc.) and understanding of precision tolerances as related to product evaluation
Must have understanding of various manufacturing methods including machining, welding, and casting and molding processes along with technical understanding of metals, alloys, and plasticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
