POSITION Overview:
Focusing on innovation, collaboration and engagement, our client provides a work environment that fosters career development and growth. Currently they are looking for a senior level TSM Specialist to provide daily operational support and technical leadership to a group of skilled TSM backup administrators working in a large distributed systems environment. Qualified candidates MUST have experience working with multiple enterprise backup products, strong understanding of enterprise backup and recovery strategies and must have experience with installation, administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning and capacity planning.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for 24x7 on-call coverage for backup/recovery issues and carry out problem management and root cause analysis. Through project/team management, monitor the work of team members and provide technical coaching/mentoring Perform capacity planning and reporting on both performance and quality of backups Provide operational support for backup and recovery
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree 5
years of backup and recovery experience Must have strong, hands-on experience in large TSM Client Server environments Experience working in enterprise environments that have multiple backup/recovery and storage products and many different operating systems, virtual tape technologies including NDMP backups and Data Domain Hands-on experience with Disaster Recovery with the backup products supported and must have working knowledge of SAN. Experience working with EMC, NetApp, AIX and Tivoli or similar platforms
