Job Description
Quad/Graphics has an exciting opportunity for a Color Mac Operator/Production Specialist to work within our L.L.Bean Onsite Facility located in Freeport, ME. Successful candidate will use their experience in high end color matching, color correcting, retouching, extensive cloning, complex masking, and composition to exceed client expectations and interpret color expectations within our fast paced environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Ability to execute image corrections within the RGB color space.
Color matching product to physical samples or L a b values.
High end retouching.
Ability to read and interpret color markup, and execute corrections as directed by client or color sponsor.
General understanding of color management and profiles.
General understanding of job functions within the office and ability to step in to different roles when needed.
Monitor calibration
Measurement and monitoring of proofing devices.
Billing entry, evaluate job costing and profitability, and produce bills using Quad/Graphics systems.
Exceptional customer service.
Provide timely feedback to other operators.
Experience working on a Mac platform.
Ability to communicate effectively with the client and multiple departments within our organization.
Ability to show color to client.
May be called upon to do press OK's alone or with the client
Working knowledge of Capture One Pro is a plus.
Responsible for tracking and moving job components through production using Quad/Graphics Smarttools or Imaging IT developed applications.
Qualifications
Candidate should have a minimum of five years Adobe Photoshop experience working in a fast paced production environment. Must be able to work well within a small team and independently. Successful candidate should be highly motivated and enjoy taking initiative and learning new things. Advanced Photoshop skills is a requirement. Working knowledge of other Adobe Creative Suite applications and Microsoft Office is a plus. Must have the ability to work overtime when needed. Customer service experience is preferred. Candidates with some college course work are also preferred.
