Utilitiy Operators will be trained in two or three areas as listed below:
1. Dried Grain Utility - Start up, shut down, and clean centrifuges. Monitor when operating.
Start and control feed rate to truck loading and conveyors.
Bag off accumulated whole grain dust.
Clean rest rooms, spills, leakage, litter, dust.
Resupply rest rooms.
Make caustic/acid solutions for Beer Still and Evaporators
2. Dryer House Operator - operate steam heated rotary dryers and evaporators in a semi-automated system.
Control flow rates via pumps and automatic valves, from whole stillage tanks and centrifuges to rotary dryers
and 5 effect evaporators.
Monitor product moisture and fluid levels.
Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, etc.
Will be required to turn large valves, read instructions, adjust instrument controls, judge volumes, read
thermometers, and understand vacuum and pressure.
Various other duties required as decided by management.
3. Mash Hand - Using automated systems:
Regulate grinding of grains.
Control filling of cookers with water, stillage, and grain according to management-supplied formulas.
Control heating, cooling, and pumping of mashes.
Make biological and chemical additions to cookers.
4. Control flows of fermented mash, steam, and water to distillation equipment according to distiller's instructions.
Control collection of alcohol products from still and pump as instructed.
Make simple calculations.
Read and interpret proofing devices.
Prepare cleaning solutions.
Complete records and keep recording charts updated.
5. Operate truck weighing scales, record results.
Sort and distribute shipping documents.
Simple calculations required.
Operate conveyor equipment from panel board to distribute new grains over clean and into appropriate bins.
Clean equipment and work area
Utility Operators will be required to work weekends but will get a day of rest during the Monday through Friday work week.
Utility Operators will may be required to work different shifts during the normal work week depending on need.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
