The Quality Control Manager (QCM) has the responsibility to administer the company's Quality Control Program.
This program has been adopted by the company as a requirement of the ASME Code for Boiler and Pressure Vessel Manufacturing, and by the National Board.
Included in this program is the responsibility to revise our Quality Control Manual as necessary to maintain compliance with the code, the requirements of the National Board, and the requirements of our third party inspection agency.
Further responsibilities are outlined in the Quality Control Manual.
The Quality Controls Manager (QCM) will report to the Operations Manager, URS - Oil & Gas division in Odessa, Texas.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience preferably in a Fabrication Shop environment.
Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent Strong working knowledge of the ASME Code (Section VIII).
Certified Welding Inspector Certification with X-ray film and particle testing preferred Certified or working knowledge of API 510 and 570 is an asset Intermediate/Expert Computer Skills:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint.
Responsibilities:
- Verifying the mechanical integrity of the company's fabricated pressure vessels.
Each pressure vessel design shall have a set of calculations prepared by the Engineering Department and signed off by the QCM and Authorized Inspector.
- Develop the welding procedures used by the company.
He is instructed to work closely with the Welding Shop Manager in this regard.
Procedures shall be developed and updated in a timely manner.
- Maintain all records, logs, calibrations and spreadsheets of both welders and equipment.
- Supervise the work of the Quality Control personnel including conducting yearly performance evaluations.
