Description
The Maintenance Tech is responsible for operating and repairing hospital heating, air conditioning, plumbing and electrical systems as well as performing general mechanical, carpentry and painting duties. Protects life and property of facility patients, visitors, and staff. Patrols hospital buildings and grounds to prevent fire, thefts and vandalism. Secures, unlock and protects hospital building. Response to the security needs of patients, visitors and staff. Provide immediate intervention in any situation posing a substantial threat to the life and safety of any individual on or in property owned or controlled by the facility.

Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Experience in a commercially related maintenance environment.
Must be able to follow directions and to perform work according to department standards when no directions are given.
Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress.
Previous Security experience a plus.
Licenses/Certificates:
Electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC a plus.
High-pressure Boiler certification a plus.
Valid Driver's License
