Crescent, a multi-faceted supply chain service provider, committed to meeting the high standards of our Fortune 500 client base, is opening a new facility in Edwardsville, IL. The Quality Assurance Manager is a key role in establishing this new operation. You will set the standard for quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
As the Quality Assurance Manager you will own the Quality process at this new location. You'll have significant customer interface, to ensure Crescent is delivering on our commitment to the customer's quality expectations. This role requires an exceptional standard of quality and the experience to back that up, the ability to exercise diplomacy and establish the relationship with the customer, and the talent to assemble and manage a great team. You'll manage our SQF program for the site, ensuring compliance with SQF standards, and train and supervise QC/QA personnel on daily responsibilities.
Bring your exceptional standards for quality, customer focus and leadership skills along with your:
Associates degree in related field and 3 years' experience in a lead role in food safety, or 5 years' experience in a lead food safety role, in lieu of degree
SQF (Safe Quality Foods) certification, preferred, or other similar food safety certification
Proven ability to recognize and implement continuous improvement methodology, including the ability to analyze metrics and implement process improvements accordingly
Strong ability to effectively build both internal and external relationships to ensure optimal service to customers -act diplomatically, yet stand your ground on quality
Ability to be a strong leader for directly reporting employees and temporary associates to develop a motivated, engaged workforce
Experience working with Pack Manager or other warehouse management system
Exceptional oral and written communication skills
