Cable Technician - Danville, VT

Company Description Job Description Are you skilled with computers, tech savvy and enjoy making money? Responsibilities include :
-Installation of new cable TV or telephone services in accordance to work order instructions and installation specifications.
-Reconnect/disconnect existing cable services.
-Installation of upgrades to existing cable services.
-Install and configure all MSO equipment.
-Responsible for company and MSO assets.
-Install new drop changing out RG59 drop for an RG6 drop (digital).
-Install house box in customers home.
-Install splitter at ground block and install cable-to-cable modem in customer home.
-Install computer Ethernet card into customer's home computer.
-Load computer with drivers and software, test compatibility of software to hardware.
-Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and replacing equipment as needed.
-Answer any and all questions about the installation and give instructions if necessary.
-Submit dailies, work orders and necessary paperwork completely in a timely manner on a daily basis.
-Documentation of signal level readings and signal leakage as required.
-Maintain a clean vehicle and workspace at all times.
-Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
-Successful completion of training and/or certification programs.
-High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
-Excellent customer service skills.
-Excellent written and oral communication.
-Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
-Attention to detail.
-Flexible team player.
