A Program Chair or Program Director is employed by RCCC with the expectation that the college is the primary employer. The Program Chair or Program Director is expected to maintain high standards of professionalism in assuring that at least 40 hours per week is spent in the performance of these responsibilities and duties.
The Program Chair or Program Director is a full-time faculty member who is a content specialist in a specific area of instruction and is expected to demonstrate a visibly active role in maintaining the assigned content area in a comprehensive, current, and responsible manner. The Program Chair or Program Director has responsibilities delegated by the appropriate Academic Dean for managing a specific content area.
The Program Chair or Program Director for Occupational Therapy will have a degree, experience and certification consistent with the standards set forth by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)sec. A.2.2 and A.2.3.
The Program Chair or Program Director will be responsible for developing a new Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, applying for accreditation and meeting the accreditation requirements, marketing, recruitment, clinical site procurement, working with facilities coordinator on classroom renovations, student advising and teaching program related classes along with other duties as assigned.
Required Education/Experience Skills:
- The program chair/director must be an initially certified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant who is licensed or otherwise regulated according to NC state regulations.
- Master's degree awarded by an institution that is accredited by a regional or national accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. The Master's degree is not limited to a Master's degree in occupational therapy technology.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of documented experience in the field of occupational therapy and must include: clinical practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant; administrative experience including, but not limited to, program planning and implementation, personnel management, evaluation, and budgeting; understanding of an experience with occupational therapy assistants.
- At least 1 year of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the post-secondary level. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
