Description:
The Surveillance and Reconnaissance Group of Leidos is seeking a talented Senior Technical Writer/Editor for our Vicksburg MS location.
The successful candidate will manage and support the development and editing of technical publications for the HPCMP across all DoD Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs). This position is located at the Corps of Engineers Engineering Research Development Center (ERDC) in Vicksburg, MS.
Candidate will develop, produce and distribute information and/or items to promote HPC usage among the DoD's scientist and engineering community; Write and publish a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses; Coordinate the display of graphics and the production of the document; Ensure content is of high quality and conforms with standards; Review content of technical documentation for quality; Produce technical and scientific illustrations for presentations and/or publication, as appropriate to the requirements; and Ensure that documents follow the style laid out in the HPCMP style guide.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and 5
years related experience.
Candidate must have expert knowledge of best practices in publication content development, professional writing and editorial standards; Comprehensive knowledge of graphics and digital video generation technologies; and Ability to use advanced software to develop complex technical publications, system documentation, training manuals, and maintenance guides that include color graphics.
Candidates must possess an active DOD Secret Level security clearance or be eligible to get one in a very short period.
