Unified Access/Mobility Consulting Systems Engineer
Cisco seeks an energetic and driven Unified Access/Mobility Consulting Systems Engineer to provide guidance and assistance to the US Enterprise account teams building Unified Access solutions to address specific Enterprise customer needs.
In this position, you will be working with and as a technology expert in Unified Access/Mobility to help position the solutions effectively against competing offerings.
Related technical knowledge is essential, sales and presentation skills are critical.
The ideal candidate will also be comfortable and effective at communicating across all functions within Cisco, as well as with clients and partners.
You will be expected to provide specific solution/technology/product consulting, technical and sales support for Unified Access/Mobility opportunities.
Must poses understanding of business requirements for large Enterprise accounts and the ability to translate them into technical requirements.
Understand and articulate Cisco's Architectures and Services.
Facilitate better communications and understanding of customer requirements between customers, corporate and the field.
Create, present and document technical solutions for in-depth and high-level technical presentations to the customers, partners and prospects.
Drive identified major account opportunities (i.e.
technical consulting, upper level management presentations, and Cisco technology solutions) while allowing assigned account team to maintain long-term ownership.
Must be effective in working both independently and in a team setting along with strong attention to detail and follow-up.
Provide consultative support and mentor other less experienced Systems Engineers in assigned major account opportunities.

Cisco wireless LAN/Unified Access product experience and specific solution/ technology/ product positioning particularly with Enterprise accounts required or product experience with key competitor offerings.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Maintain a current expert knowledge of products and services specific to Unified Access and Mobility
o Maintain a working knowledge of competitors' products and services and of emerging trends in the mobility industry as a whole;
o Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of product and services in an effective manner.
o Initiate sales proposals
o Participate in the writing of RFP/RFQ/RFI responses to sales needs.
o Develop market strategies that result in revenues and organizational success;
o develop and deliver sales presentations In conjunction with sales team.
o Participate in sales forecasting and planning from a technical configuration perspective
o Develop and maintain communications with all levels of staff and customers, ranging from line managers to corporate presidents;
o Meet established sales goals
o Using a consultative style, advise customer on how to best utilize Cisco's products to solve business needs.
o Provide technical consultancy to augment the sales effort,
o Design end-to-end wireless networks for the deployment of voice and video, including integration to voice and data networks
o Assist clients with feasibility studies, equipment budgets, systems requirements and specifications
o Perform as equipment and technology specialist for the assigned account base
o Install POC (Proof of Concepts) on customer locations in and out of production network environments.
o Design and Install on-site demonstrations of products and technology related to the Unified Access/Mobility and BYOD portfolio of products.
In-depth knowledge of baseline SE skills and in-depth knowledge in wireless LAN/Unified Access solution areas including Access Points, Wireless LAN Controllers, Wireless LAN Management, Mobility Services, Identity Services Engine, Converged Access, and Wireless Security.
In-depth wireless LAN industry and competitive knowledge, knowledge of relevant solutions sets, product line specifications, performance criteria and applications preferred.
Extensive pre-sales experience required.
Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent.
CCIE certification highly desirable and/or preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation, consultative skills and presentation skills are required.
Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.
Ability to train and disseminate Unified Access/Mobility information within an Area or Operation.
Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources.
