Manager, Cold Rolling - Mobile, AL - Plan direct and coordinate all production activities for Cold Rolling area, Cold Rolling Mill, Skin Pass Mill, Roll Grinding Shop and related maintenance. Responsible for 4 team running 5/24. 4 Engineers and 4 Shift Leaders
Responsibilities for the Operations Manager
Oversee , direct and coordinate all Cold Roll area production activities. Ensure process control, output quality and achievement of production goals.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to cost reduction and quality.
Manage staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties
Determine staffing requirements, support interviewing, hiring and training of new employees
Direct and coordinate area budget activities to ensure achievement of budget plan, maximizing capital expediture investments and increase operating efficiency.
Promote a safety culture and ensure all safety, environmental and ergonomic requirements are met.
Requirements for the Operations Manager
BSME preferred but open to other degrees
5
years supervision experience in stainless steel cold rolling/finishing preferred but open to carbon steel.
Z-mill (Sendzimir mill) experience highly preferred
Skin pass, Roll grinding and/or maintenance experience desired
Excellent communication skills
