Summary: With a friendly, upbeat and positive attitude, prepares baked goods for food service venues ensuring a product that will surprise and delight our guests.
Qualifications: High school degree or equivalent preferred. A minimum of one year pastry experience in high volume restaurant industry preferred. Must be self motivated and work well without direct supervision. Must be a team player, and work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions:
Utilizes a wide variety of kitchen equipment.
Maintains excellent kitchen hygiene and sanitary conditions at all times.
Ensures venue products are prepared in an eye-appealing manner and will surprise and delight the guests.
Follows standardized recipes to ensure accuracy with food orders.
Communicates with other team members and supervisors.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory, internal controls, policies and procedures.
All other job duties as assigned.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time, 4 - 6 hours.
Responds to visual and aural cues.
Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as maneuver through all areas of the venue and kitchen.
Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and push 100 lbs.
Must have the manual dexterity to repetitively cut, slice, whisk, grab, grip, type, pull, hold, tear, sort, and reach.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing extreme temperatures, second hand smoke, dust, loud noises and bright lights.
Must be able to work a varied schedule, holidays and weekends.
