DescriptionRandstad On Site at The Hanover Insurance Group in Worcester, MA is seeking candidates for our Commercial Lines Service Operations Rater training program. We have 6 temporary to permanent openings with a start date in August, and would like to speak with potential candidates immediately!
These insurance operations rating professionals will be responsible for:
- Determining premium charge for Commercial Lines business using both manual and automated methods.
- Timely and accurate issuance of commercial lines policies, quotes, and endorsements.
- Provide customer service support for agents and insured's, handling various inquiries and requests.
- Work with Commercial Lines underwriters to deliver a timely and accurate product to agents and insured's.
This training program will prepare the rating professionals to:
- Rate and issue, using both manual and automated methods, Commercial Lines new business, renewals, policy quotes, endorsements and cancellations for all lines of business and multiple states.
- Interpret issuance and rating instructions from Underwriters for new business, renewals, policy quotes, endorsements and cancellations.
- Stay current with changing conformance or compliance issues, as well as procedural, system or workflow changes.
- Deliver timely and accurate quotes and policies.
- Provide technical and service support to agents and underwriters.
- Alert team to workload balancing issues.
- Actively participate in team discussions and problem solving, always thinking about what is next.

Position Requirements:
- Technology proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Strong communication both verbal and written
- Customer Service focus, Anticipates customer needs
- 0- 3 Years of Experience, prior insurance knowledge preferred
- HS Diploma
- Takes initiative to investigate, collaborate with others and propose solutions to problems.
- Demonstrates a do it right the first time attitude. Takes pride in producing a professional work product.
- Information seeking
- Results Oriented
- Ability to work extremely well independently AND a team player
- Actively mentors others and shares information.
- Recognizes discrepancies in data/information, brings them to the attention of appropriate parties or resolves them. Demonstrates a proactive attitude in the resolution of such discrepancies
