Sales Account Director Position
Reporting to the VP of Sales, the Sales Account Director is responsible for developing sales in a designated target market by identifying new sales opportunities, contacting prospective customers, cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments. This will include generating new business customers as well as identifying revenue opportunities within an assigned customer base. The Account Director will be working with and selling to C level officers, company executives and business owners with an emphasis targeting small and medium sized business within the market.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successful selling of colocation, telecom, or technology products. They MUST have experience finding and generating new business and is persistent, aggressive and possess a hunting mentality which includes strong closing skills to all levels.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Generating new revenue through developing opportunities and closing sales of new and existing business customers.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of 365 Data Centers sales process and products and services in order to engage, present and propose to prospective customers while understanding their business needs and requirements.
Partner with customers through a strategic and consultative sales approach to understand their business needs, issues, strategies and priorities to deliver a value-adding business solution.
Apply knowledge of customers, industry and services to achieve revenue objectives.
Identify, initiate contact with and qualify potential customers.
Track, analyze and report on sales performance and activities.
Establish new business contacts through a variety of prospecting activities including lead generating, cold calling, and networking.
Gain knowledge and insight to customers business priorities and challenges and propose 365 Data Centers solutions to address these needs.
Manage daily activities to effectively balance selling time and daily calendar to ensure sufficient sales activity.
Must provide exceptional customer service on a daily basis.
Desired skills:
Candidate should have a proven sales methodology that drives results.
Superior organizational skills to maintain accurate records on daily activities and results.
Strong time management and prioritization skills.
Strong work ethic and ability to build a robust pipeline and drive to over achieve quota.
In-depth knowledge of colocation and data center offerings, products and services.
Must be self-motivated and self-disciplined and provide timely follow-up to all customer requests.
In-depth knowledge of other competitors and offerings in the marketplace.
Strong existing industry relationships.
Proficient Microsoft Office skills and please apply online
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to present in both small and large group settings.
Demonstrated ability to work well independently with minimal supervision assuming accountability for achieving results.
Familiar with local marketplace, companies, and community in assigned territory.
Qualifications:
A college degree is preferred.

years of relevant colocation/telecom industry experience.
Deep expertise in colocation, data center telecom industry & markets.
Good working knowledge of data centers.
Experience working & selling customer-facing colocation/hosting deals.
Ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives and key clients.
Valid drivers license and must maintain an acceptable MVR that meets the company
insurance providers standards as driving is required in order to be able to fulfill the
job responsibilities for the position.
