Position Description: Job summary
The Furniture & Equipment Project Service Specialist is responsible for providing support to the regional project manager by coordinating on-time, complete, and accurate shipments of furniture and equipment to customers. The project service specialist works closely with the regional project manager, the regional operations team, sales management and, the local sales organization in order to insure a satisfactory project completion.
Summary of essential job functions
o Expedite and coordinates furniture and equipment deliveries with vendors, freight carriers, installation companies, customers, and territory managers. Monitors in-house Distribution Center and direct sales orders and follows through to completion to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
o Communicates service and punch list issues with customers, vendors, territory managers, installation companies, and other internal associates.
o Initiates and process vendor acknowledgements; purchase orders; resolve vendor invoice discrepancies; respond to vendor inquiries.
o Develops customer, vendor, and product knowledge expertise.
o Maintains safe and healthful working conditions within stewardship by ensuring all associates comply with company safety policies and procedures

Requirements: Minimum requirements
o Bachelor's degree in a related area and 4 to 6 years experience in the field or related area.
o Minimum two to three years experience project management support in furniture and equipment, construction and/or related field.
Knowledge/Skills required
o The ability to read and understand architectural blue prints.
o High level proficiency in PC based programs including spreadsheet and database programs.
o Ability to perform mathematical operations.
o Highly organized, attentive to details and ability to meet tight deadlines.
o Strong decision making and problem solving skills.
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
