Tasks:
Working under the supervision of the Manager, Health and Welfare Plans, this position is responsible for the daily administration of all US health and welfare benefit programs. In this fast paced work environment, the desired candidate will be able to combine Continuous Improvement Process concepts with their analytical skills to continually drive cost reduction, promote efficiency and improve the service levels experienced by all plan participants. This position will be recognized by HR business partners, plan participants, and company leaders as the subject matter expert on matters related to the administration of health and welfare plans. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Manage annual enrollment process.
Implement benefit changes for both union and non-union plans.
Ensure compliance with HIPPA, COBRA and other regulations as assigned.
Oversee annual 5500 filings and SPD (Summary Plan Description) updates.
Assist with establishing benefits strategy for collectively bargained benefit plans.
Assist with wellness strategy/communication
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Business, Human Resource Management or equivalent
Minimum 5 years progressive experience in benefits administration
Minimum 2 years experience with post-merger integration is required
Working knowledge with MS Office Suite and HRIS (preferably SAP)
Specialized expertise related to Health and Welfare plans including regulatory requirements is required
Superior written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and manage relationships with internal benefits staff and external stakeholders
Strong time management, project planning and organizational skills
CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) is preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
