Title: Configuration Manager/Logistics Support Location: Virginia-Arlington Other Locations:
Key Role:
Provide onsite logistics and configuration management support to a DoD client and advise DoD leadership on all matters pertaining to Configuration Management (CM) plans, processes, standards, and procedures. Create and manage all aspects of the CM plan, including establishing naming convention, standards, and roles associated with the CM process. Maintain the CCB's automated workspace within FootPrints and maintain a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) that facilitates report generation and analysis, including trend and root cause. Increase efficiency through marketplace reviews of systems, tools, and industry best practices and the implementation of new processes. Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with policies and codes and monitor and report on overall supply chain execution using industry established key performance measurements. Recommend, develop, and assist with the tracking of metrics to ensure appropriate management, use, configuration, and oversight of facilities and infrastructure. Perform space utilization, feasibility studies, and allocation forecasting and provide expertise and analytical support associated with effective and efficient operations, maintenance, and management of facilities and infrastructure.
Basic
Qualifications:
-5 years of experience with handling DoD supply chain requirements, facilities management, and asset management
-3 years of experience in working with DoD as a supply chain manager or logistician
-3 years of experience with government consulting, working full-time in a government client office environment
-3 years of experience in working with configuration management practices
-2 years of experience with diagnosing problems with computer support software
-Knowledge of IT Information Library (ITIL) fundamentals and DoD directives, policies, and procedures impacting configuration management
-Knowledge of configuration management requirements and program plans and requirements
-Active Top Secret clearance
-HS diploma or GED
-ITIL v3 Foundation Certification

Qualifications:
-Experience with asset and inventory management, including tracking and reporting equipment usage rates and equipment shortages, managing office supplies, and maintaining a storage room
-Experience with maintaining asset databases, including IT, telecommunications equipment, and furniture
-Experience with providing facilities support, including performing inspections, reviews, and ensuring deficiencies corrected, coordinating repairs and changes to facilities, monitoring status of requests, and ensuring requested work completed satisfactorily
-Experience with supply management, advising stakeholders on the prescribed policies, processes, and procedures to define, develop, and obtain services to satisfy the organization's supply chain needs
-Ability to engage in the design, planning, execution, and control of supply chain activities with the objectives of leveraging logistics, synchronizing supply with demand, and measuring performance
-Ability to assist with Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and serve as the CM liaison for coordinating assistance to the teams involved in the CCB
-Possession of excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
