Description:Model makers are responsible for the production of the assigned project or project pieces. The model makers make and produce complete models or partial models. Working with the lead model makers and shop supervisor the model maker will perform various model making tasks. Creating and building models, prototypes and full scale mockups are a few or the required tasks.Requirements: Must have minimum two (2) years of prototype, model shop or scale model building experience. Ability to read blueprints/drawings is preferred. A strong knowledge base in materials such as styrene, plastics, acrylics and molding resins would help the applicant. Understanding in the usage of adhesives, bonding agents and their applications. Hand power tools and standard shop tool knowledge. Must be able to multitask and be a strong team player.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
