Responsibilities Generate various financial reports quickly and correctly Manage and maintain general ledger, including chart of accounts, item master, customer master, and vendor master Perform revenue recognition and accrual accounting Oversee a team with multiple direct reports Manage treasury and cash functions and maintain and update the company's cash forecast model Perform procedure and process implementation Manage external independent accountants and financial audits or reviews Manage the inventory function, including logistics, distribution, planning, pricing and procurement Generate and manage budgets and forecasts Perform collection duties as needed on past due receivables Ensure cohesion in a tightly held environment Comply with federal, state, and local government reporting requirements Job Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance is required; CPA is required Big4 public accounting experience highly preferred A minimum of 10 years of professional experience with at least 3 years in the Controller position Budgeting and forecasting experience is required Strong grasp of GAAP Month end close and account reconciliation experience Financial Reporting experience Proficient knowledge of QuickBooks Inventory management skills Experience with SOX and creating internal controls Ability to implement structure in a changing environment Source:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
