Develop software solutions for external clients based on detailed specifications from technology/systems consultants. Responsible for the design, development, testing, documentation and analysis of modules or features of new or upgraded software systems and products. Develop and design solutions for Hadoop related products and improvise existing software products in the Pivotal Hadoop Distribution. Provide technical expertise and help drive technical projects across various geographic locations. Deliver high quality software subsystems complying to enterprise code standards and code reviews. Provide technical insights into the development of requirement specifications, design documents, functional and system level test plans. Provide work leadership and mentor junior engineers. Provide internal consultation on Hadoop related issues. May be assigned to various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
REQUIREMENTS: Masters degree in Comp. Sci., Engin(any), Business, Math, Physics, or related technical field plus 36 months experience in job offered or computer-related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Hadoop installation and performance tuning, 2) Hadoop application development and application level performance tuning, 3) API development in java, 4) Design and development of configuration tools, 5) developing monitoring and health check tools for distributed systems, and 6) developing prediction models to systems on grid using Hadoop and PIG. Experience may be gained concurrently. Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.
EOEEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
