Location Description
St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center, is a 159-bed acute care, osteopathic teaching hospital. With a 400-member medical staff, St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Center, offers more than 35 medical and surgical specialties, with a focus on advanced diagnostics and treatment for cancer, cardiac, psychiatric and aging patients. The hospital also features a Sleep Disorders Clinic that diagnoses and treats people with sleeping problems and related illnesses such as sleep apnea.
Department Description:
Twenty-six inpatient beds with thirty partial hospitalization slots for general and geriatric psychiatry. Specializing in dual diagnosis (psych/chemical dependency) and general adult psychiatric treatment and includes involuntary admissions. Complex activities of daily living.
Job Summary
Under general supervision, provides individualized patient care by assessing the patient, identifying patient problems or potential problems, developing and implementing a nursing plan of care and evaluating care of assigned patients. May give direction to ancillary nursing staff.
Minimum Knowledge & Education:
Current Michigan Licensure
Current BLS certificate
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
Preferred:
One (1) year hospital exp
