Job Description:

Summary: The Writer/Digital Editor is responsible for developing and managing communications between AIPAC and members of Congress, the executive branch and the wider policy community. The position requires strong technical skills in email marketing and digital content production. He/she will report to the Assistant Director of Policy and Government Affairs (PGA) and work under the general supervision of the PGA Director(s).
Qualifications/Skills:
The Policy Writer/Digital Editor must possess the following qualifications or skills:
Ability to independently produce clear, concise, timely written materials. 1-2 years' experience in a journalism, legislative or communications position preferred.
Proficiency in html and InDesign strongly desired. Experience working with content management systems (Sitecore) and marketing platforms (Eloqua) preferred.
Ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
Strong passion for the U.S. -Israel relationship.
Full competencies in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Detailed Duties:
Assist in the drafting of memos, talking points, letters, and other policy and legislative communications.
Oversee the technical production of all policy communications using email and print templates.
Manage all policy and legislative information on the AIPAC website, intranet and related apps.
Serve as a liaison between PGA and the Marketing, Creative and Events department.
Coordinate monthly policy events for outside constituencies.
Assist in the management of the PGA email subscription database
Remain current on AIPAC's legislative and policy agenda, and serve as a resource regarding those issues for Congressional staff and AIPAC staff.
Other duties as assigned.
