The SharePoint/Knowledge Management Professional provides Microsoft SharePoint 2010 technology support to maintain and enhance our DoD customer's SharePoint content and functionality.
Duties:
SharePoint content administration support to ensure that all associated content is properly placed in the correct repositories and that the integration of the content optimally supports mission requirements. This encompasses content maintenance, recommendations, enhancements, and data integrity.
Develop and make recommendations for enhanced user interfaces to improve the end-user's experience.
Provides input to the customer as they develop standardized Content Management/portal policies, guidelines, specifications, baselines, and operational procedures. Provide support to end-users in updating/revising web-accessible content in real-time.
Makes recommendations and supports customer efforts to refine an on-line environment that allows end-users to share, collaborate, and update data, information, and documentation in real-time through SharePoint.
Interacts with personnel across the customer agency's Community of Interest and attends technical interchange meetings, as required.
Web content management support to maintain current Internet and Intranet website environments; to include updates, 508 compliance, and data integrity.
Provides desk-side assistance to Site Managers and Content Managers when new functionalities are added or when new personnel assume Content or Site Manager duties and prepares or updates training materials as needed.
Tracks site traffic in various categories across all Site Collection points and provides a monthly report consisting of metrics such as unique visitors across all sites, top 10 pages visited categorized by branch/project, site collection storage & capacity, and customer public web site traffic by branch and/or project.
Provides knowledge management expertise to assist in web content management for the customer's public internet web site.
Requirements /
Qualifications:
Secret clearance at minimum
Bachelors degree in related discipline
3 years SharePoint experience, preferably in a DoD environment
