Gerdau is seeking Forge Operator for the mill in Duluth, MN
Basic Function:
Basic Troubleshooting: Finger and arm, Stock gauge, Kicker pin & springs, Worn tooling
Transfer lift and bar conveyor unscramble.
Responsibilities:
Forge Start-up and shutdown, know functions of lights and switches on forge control panel and platform, Basic knowledge of oil and grease system, reset forge electrical breakers, reset oil system breaker, reset oil system breaker, reset unscramble breaker and have basic knowledge of rounder maintenance. Be able to start up all conveyors and proper start up procedures. Reset AJEX cabinet breaker and replace and align coils. Set and adjust vari-freq. drives. Replace and align slings on the unscramble.
Qualifications include:
Candidates that have some demonstrated mechanical ability of some kind. Candidates that have been farm raised personnel or automotive mechanics. Forklift experience is preferred.
