Summary: Provides face to face translation between the Spanish and English languages for limited English proficiency (LEP) patients and staff members with limited Spanish proficiency.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work
Experience: Six months to one year related experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Tested and proficient in Spanish language, as well as translation between the English and Spanish languages. Tested by outside agency for proficiency. Prefer level two proficiency. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Ability to work with others in a team approach and to follow written and oral instructions. Provide dual translations of informed consents and patient care, along with, other questions and communications between Spanish speaking patients with limited English profiicinecy and staff members with limited Spanish proficiency. Performs other duties as assigned. Independent judgement in making minor decisions where alternatives are limited and standard policies/protocols have been established Works directly with patients and/or customers Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
