POSITION SUMMARY Monitoring and complying with the evolving financial accounting and reporting requirements.
Working collaboratively across the Company to enable the efficient accumulation, processing and timely delivery of financial information.
Proactively understanding the critical business strategies, transactions and issues to accurately convey such matters in reporting to stakeholders.
Developing its staff through rotations, special projects and other training.
Continually adapting Hess' financial accounting processes and systems in response to changes in the business, regulatory requirements and new technologies.
ROLES and RESPONSIBLITIES Preparation of Earnings Supplemental, working with the Strategy Planning department as necessary.
Preparing various other registration filings and, as needed, other financial reports.
Assist with the preparation of the lessons learned presentations following the quarterly and annual reporting cycles.
Responsible for preparing certain footnote disclosures and collecting and reviewing data for certain quarterly and annual reporting schedules, such as:
Other accounting policies.
Dispositions/Acquisitions, Asset Impairment footnotes.
Oversee the completion of the annual and quarterly checklists:
GAAP checklists, working with the Senior Technical Advisor and external auditors; completing specific sections as necessary.
