Production Specialist - LV Finishing

Job Summary & Key
Responsibilities:
LV machine operator will support all LV activities within the work cell including but not limited to punch machines, re-winders, and slotters. Operators will process rolls as needed to meet customer orders and finished goods planning.
Work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
Inspect material and ensure that the product meets current specifications.
Operate all LV equipment as needed to ensure highest levels of customer service are met.
Generate and maintain accurate production information information, including inventory transactions by using MFG/Pro.
Perform general maintenance (PM''s) activities as required to ensure effective operation
Trouble shoot and correct process issues; participate in team problem solving sessions
Participate in continuous improvement activities (throughput, scrap reduction, safety, ISO work instructions, Enterprise Lean Sigma.)
Meet/exceed facility standard for attendance and punctuality
Operate a lift-truck to move or supply product
Complete required training to meet EBP/Fairport goals and objectives.
Other duties as assigned.

HS diploma or GED required
Minimum of 2 years experience in skilled labor position with demonstrated mechanical aptitude; experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
Strong focus on customer service required
Able to quickly respond to customer needs and wants.
Quality focused
Must be able to inspect and detect defect to ensure quality of end products.
Computer proficiency required, with ability to learn various computer applications quickly.
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. without assistance, repeatedly throughout work day.
Excellent attention to detail
Must be able to follow procedures and monitor processes with accuracy.
Must have strong work ethic, initiative and demonstrated reliability:
Must be flexible - willing to accept and respond to a variety of work assignments on short notice in order to achieve production goals.
candidate must be willing and able to work weekends, with 75% overtime acceptance rate necessary.
Must have excellent attendance & tardiness records.
Have a positive work attitude and conduct.
Demonstrated safety focus required, including and excellent safety record, 100% on time safety training completion rate, and participation in safety committee and safety programs.
Strong initiative, integrity, and judgement skills necessary. Must be able to think ahead, anticipate problems, make decisions and take appropriate action.
Good communication skills required.
Must be able to work both individually and in a team-based environment.
