Position Description
Individual job duties may include: Operate computer driven robotic paint sprayers and routers. Fairing of outer mold line surfaces with sealant and fairing compounds. Layout and paint lettering, pictures and background with or without aids. Fabricate stencils, mix paints, layout and apply stripes and bands, layout and apply insignias using templates and silk screens. Layout, spray paint and apply finish coats on exterior surface of completed aircraft and major assemblies. Sand and polish completed aircraft and major assemblies. Mix and apply paint, sealers and fillers. Mask, wire or otherwise prepare and/or clean parts. Use hand and power tools, wrenches, pliers, oven, rules, scales, hydrometers, brushes and spray guns. Setup, load and operate cranes.
Competencies
Knowledge of proper use, handling and disposal of hazardous materials per government regulations and Boeing procedures.

Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination required to fabricate, repair, weld, cut and/or grind various parts or tools using drawings and instructions.

Basic Qualifications For Consideration
Do you have experience sanding, masking, and spraying in the automotive, aerospace, and industrial industry?
Typical Education/Experience
1-3 years minimum related experience.
High school graduate or GED preferred.

This is an hourly position governed by the IAM Collective Bargaining agreement.
New Hires, as well as employees who transfer from non-union positions, may be required to attend some type of training upon their start. Once any required training has been completed all new employees will be considered on probation for a period of forty (40) working days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of any required training and the probationary period.
