Work closely with Army customer program and technical staff to develop cost package for proposed ACAT I system development. Candidate will also be called upon for knowledge in cost and technical data collection, cost risk analysis, and/or Life Cycle Cost generation. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Skills with cost estimating using ACEIT is required. Skills with other cost estimating tools such as SEER/SEM, PRICE TruePlanning, and @Risk are a plus. Defense Acquisition University Budget Cost Estimating and Financial Management Certification is a plus. Some independent work, but significant to work as a Team made up of other cost analysts, project managers, logisticians, technicians, financial managers and engineers.
Direct experience working with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT)
Bachelor''s degree is required. Degree(s) in Engineering, Math, Economics, Statistics, Science or Operations Research are highly favored. A Master''s degree is a plus.
Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst CCEA, DAU Certification or comparable are desired.
Good written and oral skills; proficiency with MS Power Point and Excel. Some briefings will be required.
DoD weapon system acquisition cost processes, tools and organizations. Candidate must possess experience/knowledge in performing system engineering trade studies, system analysis, and architecture studies, Life Cycle Cost Estimates, using cost estimating tools and model development. Experience estimating defense acquisition programs are a plus. Knowledge of: Business Case Analysis (BCA), Return on Investment (ROI) calculation, Best Value (Net Present Value) determination, Risk assessment, Analysis of Alternatives (AOA), Cost Analysis Requirements Description (CARD), and/or program budget development. Develops cost estimate sources, methods, controls, and projections using a variety of techniques including modeling, parametric analysis, engineering estimates, learning curve, risk analysis, and cost estimating relationships.
Hands on experience with weapon systems costing analysis processes, related organizations, and tools sufficient to LEAD ACAT I program. Candidates will be familiar with executing and supporting the development of: Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), Acquisition Strategies, Cost Analysis Requirements Documents(CARD), Cost estimating to support Analysis of Alternative/ Trade studies, Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA), Program Office Estimates (POE), Analogies, Parametric & Engineering Estimating, Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
