The Department of Conference Planning and Management with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is seeking qualified candidates for an Accountant III. This position is responsible for budgeting and financial reporting for Conference Planning and Management (CPM).
Additional responsibilities of this position include the creation of detailed financial reports, providing assistance with developing rate structures for the unit, and assisting with budget development for CPM initiatives. The incumbent will maintain updated and accurate financial information for the unit. The incumbent will also provide financial information to support the Director in making appropriate and sound decisions. This position will assist the department in contracting, procurement and event services.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional problem solving skills, strong organizational and analytical skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong math and computer skills to develop detailed, complex financial reports and analysis tools are essential to this position. Independent judgment, initiative, and exceptional ability to coordinate a variety of activities will also be needed to be successful in this role. Bachelor''s degree and two years of relevant professional experience. Experience must include accounting, budgeting and/or financial analysis.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
