Overview:
Achieve or exceed Customer''s expectations of inventory replenishment, service levels, in-stock performance and inventory turns of all processed meats items at both the warehouse level as well the store level. These activities are accomplished through efficient and consistent communications with internal and external customers, maintaining accurate demand forecasts and through the execution of replenishment strategies utilizing Smithfield Farmland Replenishment Information Systems and through Retail Link.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Utilizing both Smithfield Farmland SAP system and Clients Retail Link information system: Review, analyze and update customer demand forecast as necessary.
2. Review customer inventories, monitor 2-tier orders, and create manual orders for replenishment product as needed.
3. Maintain in-stocks and the integrity of 2-tier, Inforem, and CPFR forecast through performing necessary weekly/daily maintenance requirements to effectively replenish for key events such as: seasonal trends, holidays, COMACS, new item launches, one-time buys, and regular turn business.
4. Oversee special COMAC DIDS, cost changes and respective PO's and quantities to ensure accuracy and communicate any PO Discrepancies, pricing errors to appropriate replenishment managers in a timely manner.
5. Perform all logistics functions relating to; track all PO's from time order was created or received through receipt to the Distribution Center. Securing delivery appointments; tendering of loads to carriers; scheduling with warehouse and internal operations; rescheduling of delivery appointments as required; handle any shipment related inquiries including overages, shortages, damages, and rejections/returns.
6. Produce and distribute daily/weekly performance measurement reports applicable to each product category/vendor sequence number/replenishment manager/Buyer such as: outs report, in-stock report, late trucks report, excess inventory report for the purpose of sharing performance levels with all parties involvedboth internal and external. Provide insight into Smithfield Farmland replenishment performance and identify opportunities and/or issues relating to distribution of our products at each of the distribution centers.
7. Communicate with internal and external customers as required to assure optimum service levels and supply chain efficiencies.
8. Serve as back-up to co-managed business coordinator counterpart when applicable.
9. Participate in self improvement such as ongoing Retail Link Replenishment classes as it relates to CPFR, Inforem, and 2-Tier.
10. Assist in training new or additional analysts in respective information systems.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and 2 - 3 years of experience in customer service, inventory planning, forecasting or logistics and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Self-starter who is able to work well both independently and within a team
Demonstrates strong aptitude in math, along with problem solving and analytical skills.
Able to analyze data, draw reasonable conclusions, and formulate next steps.
Strong organization skills
Intermediate to advanced computer skills in applications such as MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Previous experience with order processing systems, manufacturing systems, and sales systems helpful
Ability to travel 10% of the time.

Scope/Impact of Job:
Effectively manage inventory forecasting, analysis and replenishment of approx 50 processed meat SKU's across 38 perishable DC's that generates approx 100 PO's weekly, 40 million lbs, and $64 million a year in revenue for Smithfield Farmland.
Effectively manage inventory forecasting, analysis and replenishment of approx 40 case ready and fresh pork SKU's across 5 perishable DC's that generates approx 50 PO's weekly, 80 million lbs, and $100 million a year in revenue for Smithfield Farmland.
