JOB SUMMARY
This position coordinates financial planning/budgeting needs within assigned communities, assists with the financial analysis supporting business plans, and is the key liaison for the operational leadership team with assigned communities. The individual will be responsible for understanding their business and operational needs, supporting and furthering their goals and priorities within the context of and priorities of the mission and values of PeaceHealth. This position will provide or coordinate with SSC to provide financial analyses and guidance to assigned operational leadership to enhance performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Coordinates the annual operating budget process and long range financial planning process assuring proper coordination with system financial strategic and capital planning processes. Provides high level as well as detailed analysis that supports budget targets and guidelines. Accountable for timely and accurate completion of budget in conjunction with system finance leadership.
2. Reports the financial results of the operations on a regular basis, assuring that financial reporting and analyses are tailored to the unique needs of each business unit. Performs data validation and process verification to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of reported information.
3. Provides timely dissemination of financial information in such a manner as to promote clarity of understanding, promote effective operational decision making, and ensure an understanding of the financial ramifications of decision alternatives.
4. Interprets results of clinical data to explain financial outcomes. This is completed by defining clinical and operational impacts, translating the operational impacts into financial components, and calculating financial implication to quantify data.
5. Provides to network leaders and staff education on financial reporting to provide a greater understanding of reporting requirements and to enhance business decision making and impacts.
6. Collaborates with system finance leadership to enhance and implement Financial Operational Improvement Plans.
7. Responsible for leading assigned projects or committees and serving on assigned committees/boards on behalf of Finance department.
8. Responsible for establishing effective working relationships with Shared Services departments to facilitate optimal financial performance.
9. Responsible for developing and implementing plans to meet or exceed customer needs and simultaneously assuring excellent quality and service outcomes.
10. Complete high priority projects in a timely manner that facilitates and enhances the decision making. Along, with preparing special studies which analyze part of the operations as directed.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or equivalent combination of education or experience is required. MBA Preferred.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
o Minimum of six years' experience, with at least three years in a financial role in a hospital/medical setting.
o Program/Project Management experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
o CPA preferred
OTHER SKILLS:
o Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures in a hospital environment.
o Must have working knowledge of hospital's accounting and data processing information systems.
o Must have critical thinking skills.
o Must have ability to work collaboratively.
o Must be detail oriented and well organized.
o Effective verbal and written communication skills
o Proficient computer skills including MS Office applications
o Proven budget preparation knowledge
o Demonstrated ability to act in a consulting capacity
o Ability to formulate and operationalize new concepts and ideas for improvement
o Strong organizational skills and self-motivated

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
