About the Position:
This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25.This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE & SECURITY CMD, CEN PERS SCTY CLNC FAC (CCF), PSI SUBMISSION - CTR OF EXCELLENCE, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECTION, ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, MD.
Serve as an Information Assurance Manager (IAM), and Chief of the Information Support Activity (ISA) for the Personnel Security Investigation Center of Excellence (PSI-CoE). As the Information Management Officer (IMO) and Information Assurance Manager (IAM) has overall responsibility for planning, coordinating, developing, training, implementing and managing all automation and security systems in operation, as well as the establishment of policies and procedures for the automation security program, ISA and administrative personnel supporting over 4,000 security managers worldwide who will access the system.

Oversee the development, maintenance, modification and configuration management of the Personnel Security Investigation Portal (PSIP), organizational business process management applications, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) call management system, trouble ticket monitoring database, and NIPRNET and/or SIPRNET Local Area Networks (LAN).Provides IT and Information Security (IS) expertise to the Commander/Director and staff concerning the IT/IS program development, execution and implementation of IT/IS operational programs.Direct the preparation and coordination of project authorization documents, operational benefit statement, cost comparisons of alternatives, status reports, requirements documentation, risk analyses and other technical technical and administrative direction to subordinates on assigned projects that deal with automation security initiatives.Identifies and reports IT budget requirements to the Commander/Director and defends requirements at budget prioritization meetings.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience with Information Security (IS) and Information Assurance (IA) with administration and management.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13).

Must obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSB) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmental Information (SCI).

All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions.

Information Assurance (IA) positions:Incumbent (or Selectee) is required to satisfactorily complete the appropriate training and obtain the required certification/recertification for this position as outlined in DoD Publication 8570.01-M Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program, dated 19 December 2005 (incorporating Change 1, 15 May 2008).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
