Job Description
Hickory Printing is looking for an experience Bindery Manager for 2nd Shift. MUST HAVE HANDS ON BINDERY EXPERIENCE ALONG WITH MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE TO BE CONSIDERED
The Bindery Manager is responsible for scheduling work, employees and equipment maintenance within the Bindery, Finishing & Mailing Departments. The ideal candidate will have a background in mailing, and be creative, inventive, knowledgeable, and good at troubleshooting equipment and production issues. The ideal candidate should have hands on bindery experience with some or all of the equipment listed below.The bindery manager on occasion may need to run or help trouble shoot a machine.
Additionally, this person must be capable of working with all types of experience levels and personalities that make up a bindery staff.
Sample list of Bindery Equipment:
2 Muller Martini Saddle Stitchers (6 pockets + cover feeder)
1 Muller Martini Saddle Stitcher (10 pockets + 2 cover feeders)
1 Harris Saddle Stitcher (8 pockets + cover feeder)
4 MBO Continuous Feed Folders
1 Kolbus KM473 Perfect Binder
3 Polar Cutters (1 is fully automated / high speed)
1 Bobst Gluer / Folder
Required Skills
Must be able to set up and operate commercial bindery experience.
Knowledge of USPS regulations, inline inkjet system & tabbing equipment experience is a plus.
Must be reliable with excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Required Experience
2+ years experience as a Bindery Manager within a web and sheet-fed commercial printing operation is required.
Experience in the set up and operation of saddle stitch machines, continuous feed folders, automated cutters & inkjet systems is preferred.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
