Job Description: This primary focus of this position will be technician support of 2nd shift. Candidates will be evaluated on this basis.
These positions will operate on a 5-day base work schedule of M-F, with weekend coverage on an on-call basis to be determined.
Position Overview:
o Work Direction is provided by Senior Technician(s), Maintenance Supervisor, and/or Facilities & Equipment Manager
o Hourly wage will be paid for this position.
Key Duties/
Responsibilities:
o Installation, corrective and preventative maintenance, of production and building equipment
o Troubleshooting and repairing of production and building equipment
o Production support with changeover, product set-up and start-up
o On-call support of off-shift production as assigned.
o Requisition (as directed) and replenishment of machine/equipment consumables and spares
o Interact with production supervision and staff to ensure the timely flow of required information
o Documentation of equipment maintenance performed
o Housekeeping and organization of the work area
o Safety- Consistently adheres to all company safety policies and procedures including adherence to PPE requirements and reporting of near misses / accidents in a timely manner to the Supervisor or Safety Coordinator.
o Quality- Consistently adheres to quality policies / procedures and produce quality work which meets or exceeds both internal and external stakeholder requirements.
o Productivity- Consistently meets production expectations in a timely and efficient manner.
o Teamwork- Consistently demonstrate respect for all stakeholders in the business and work productively and respectfully with others towards team and company goals
Experience/Education/Skills: Position Competencies and Related Qualifications/Requirements:
Knowledge:
o Mechanical assembly, proper fit and alignment of mechanical components.
o Basic understanding of electricity and electrical wiring as it relates to machinery and equipment.
o Basic understanding of rigging / millwright practices
o Familiar with MSDS and their use
o Proper use of safety and personal protective equipment.
Skills:
o Troubleshoot, diagnosis and repair of electro-mechanical equipment
o Experience with mechanic's hand and power tools, small equipment, and basic machining operations (milling, tapping, honing, etc.).
o Safe operation of powered lifting equipment
o Basic blueprint, sketch, layout, wiring diagram, drawing & specification interpretation skills.
o Basic math skills
o Basic use of precision measuring tools
o Understand and follow training materials, technical drawings, and work instructions.
o Basic computer skills. Ability to learn basic MS Outlook/Word/Excel functions, PM program use and SAP transactions.
Abilities:
o Good hand - eye coordination, manual dexterity and electro-mechanical aptitude
o Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
o Good attention to detail and problem solving skills
o 20/20 vision either corrected or without correctionEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
