Retail client seeking material handler shipping individual to manually, by hand truck or powered equipment, move materials, supplies and finished goods (hanging or boxed).
The essential functions of the position;
Manually or using hand truck, performs various material handling duties in the facility either unloading or loading trailers.
Manually loads/unloads finished product on skid, hand truck, conveyor or trolley.
Manually opens or closes doors and prepares trucks for shipment or unloading.
Stacks skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and places in proper containers.
Qualifications;
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds of weight
Willingness to learn other jobs, to serve as utility person for breaks and lunches. Must be have the ability to work in a fast paced environment managing 6-10 doors at a time.
This is a temporary position. The position is located in Salisbury, NC.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
