We are currently engaged with a client who is seeking a Manager of Web Publishing on a Full Time direct employee basis. In this role, the Manager will:
Lead the strategic vision and execution of user experience development for multiple web-sites and internal/external portals Manage the front-end team, with responsibility for Information Architecture, User Experience and Publishing activities related to all web sites both internal and external.
Work closely with key business owners and executives to determine strategies related to: brand appropriate design solutions, customer centric user experience and design solutions that deliver on the company's business goals while ensuring site-wide consistency
Guide and mentor the front-end development team that consists of UI and front-end developers and content publishers;
Provide subject matter expertise and best practices in the areas of information architecture, predictive analytics, online user behavior, usability testing, and industry standard user experience best practices.
This includes visual design recommendations and Internet/Intranet Architecture strategy.
Evaluate the effectiveness of new and existing IA elements, performance metrics, customer feedback, competitive landscape, and industry standard best practices in order to continuously evolve and improve the company online brand presence and user experience.
The appropriate individual will have demonstrated experience in the following:
Senior level lead or manager of User Experience/User Interface/Information Architecture/Front-End development teams
Significant hands-on development of corporate/enterprise websites and or information portals
Hands-on User Interface/User Experience/Information Architecture Best practices in User Interface, usability and UI design Solutions User Interface Development (UI); or User Experience (UX); or Interaction Architecture (IA)
A combination of application software programming languages such as JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS and DHTML
Content Management Systems (CMS)- preferably Oracle, otherwise Stellant, Fatwire, Vignette, Interwoven, Collage, (A Plus)
Photoshop, Illustrator, or Flash expertise
Strong visual, interaction and information design skills; strong knowledge of typography.
Excellent presentation, oral and written, communication skills with the ability to negotiate, influence and resolve issues effectively.
