Senior Consultant - Respecting Choices

This is a Principal (Senior) consulting position; demonstrated success in coaching, teaching, advising, solution and program development, materials development, implementation and systems change management, disseminating innovations in healthcare delivery systems, and research is required. The Senior Consultant will speak at regional, national, and international conferences and is expected to become internationally recognized in their area of expertise.
Education/Learning Experience
Required: Master''s degree in Nursing, Social Work or other related Master''s degree with experience in Respecting Choices programs. Completion of national courses needed for certification as a Respecting Choices instructor and for all Respecting Choices Courses within one year of hire date.
Desired: PhD or Doctorate in Nursing Practice; one or more Respecting Choices educational programs.
Work Experience
Required: 10 years of increasing leadership responsibilities in health care roles.
Desired: Palliative or hospice care, advance care planning, critical care, bereavement.
Skills/Knowledge
Required: Knowledge of one or more areas of complex disease management or end-of-life care:
1. Managing patients who have complex diseases.
2. Palliative
3. Hospice
4. Advance care planning
5. Bereavement
6. Care coordination
Proven senior level knowledge of and clinical expertise with systems change; experience as a member of a research team. Demonstrated skill in scholarly writing (e.g., journal articles, book chapters). Effective management of multiple and simultaneous priorities and demands, ability to negotiate, conceptualize, think abstractly, communicate ideas, organizational skills with attention to detail, verbal/written communication, teamwork, problem solving, adaptable. Minimum of intermediate skills in word processing, creating slide presentations, and manipulating spreadsheets.
Desired: Project management, advance care planning facilitation.
Licenses/Certifications
Required: Registered Nurse (RN) licensed to practice in the state of employment, some positions may require multiple licenses.
Physical Requirements/Demands of the Position
Extensive travel, including international, required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
