The incumbent is responsible for covering the Sales Representative is responsible for covering assigned pre-set sales appointments during scheduled appointment time frames. This is to include a full in-home product presentation to the consumer, utilizing the complete Ten Step Selling Plan in order to achieve required sit ratios and conversion percentages. Through a Ride-Along process demonstrate and train new Sales Representatives in effective sales methods that meet Sears procedures.
Job Duties/
Responsibilities:
o Presents the Company''s products and features while complying with required style, size and price criteria (presentations are to be in conformance with the established guidelines of SHIP''s SOPs and Sears'' Ethical Business practices how else do you define Ethical?
o Adheres to the Company''s Ten Step Selling Plan so it reflects the needs of the consumer while building a quality commission sale designed to enhance the potential for a mutually beneficent transaction
o Mentor new Sales Representatives via Ride-Along sales presentation appointments. Demonstrate proper sales protocol and critique the sales skills of those being trained
o Complete ride-along review form to effectively evaluate trainees to ensure knowledge, skills, and behaviors are being developed
o Turns in accurate lead dispositions to sales management (all leads previously assigned)
o Maintains the Company''s required sit ratios for in-home sales presentations in order to maximize the potential conversion to net sales
o Maintains the desired close conversion percentage as required to maximize sales potential
o Ensures are all contracts are complete with respect to required documentation, and are legible and accurate. Ensures that the consumer understands the contract and confirms that all pertinent elements have been reduced to writing
o Generates additional revenue as directed by unit management by utilizing the net installed report and through add-ons, referrals and canvassing
o Serves as a role-model and ensure company and regulatory standards are trained and always followed
o Performs related duties as required Required Skills:
o Ability to work a schedule that can shift into evenings and weekends
o Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with associates, managers, consumers and others
o Ability to work under pressure
o Patience and a teacher''s mentality to help new Sales Representatives become effective and productive members of the sales team
o Ability to lift and carry product sample display cases (occasional lifting of sample cases that individually do not exceed 40 lbs., depending upon product, sample case weight can range from 5-40 lbs.)
o Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climb
o Ability to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time and in various geographic areas
o Ability to access different levels of terrain while performing duties
o Ability to work in excess of 50 hours a week
o Ability to establish priorities, negotiate contracts and communicate effectively (both orally and in writing)
o Ability to exercise care and restraint in conserving the assets of the Company with respect to business travel expenses
o Ability to represent the Company in a business-like and professional manner as described in the Code of Conduct and Sears'' Ethical Business practices
o Proficient skill in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Lead Tracking, Appointment Center and departmental websites
o Ability to drive an average of 750 miles a week (some market''s driving requirements can be in excess of this or may be less than this based upon business need)
o Possess vehicle insurance Preferred Skills:
o 4-year college degree
