Summary:
Caveo Learning is hiring a Financial Planning and Accounting Analyst. This role will provide executive management with decision support regarding the profitability and the financial health of the organization. Working directly with executives this position is responsible for strategic planning; forecasting; annual budgeting; and the development and monitoring of key business performance indicators. The Financial Planning and Analysis role makes highly valued and visible contributions to the business and influences senior management.

Role and Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting Analyst is responsible for financial planning and forecasting, Accounting, Project Forecasting and ad hoc analysis and reporting. The focus of the position is on Accounting, Financial analytics and will require the creation of value-added reports, detailed financial models and metrics. This position supports revenue and expense forecast process, corporate P/L reporting, monthly results vs. plan analysis.
Key Finance & Accounting
Responsibilities:
Finance:
Evaluate the financial and strategic impact of new business opportunities including business development strategies, new project service offerings, large customer proposals, and sales and marketing plans.
Responsible for establishing the company's financial plans and budgeting.
Analyzes and summarizes financial statements, expenses, and records. Develops recommendations for management decision-making.
Develops detailed reports and summaries to analyze and describe financial activity interpreting results as well as predicting future activity.
Establish objectives, plans and metrics to ensure planned revenue profits are achieved.
Develops annual budget and analyzes actual and budgeted figures on an ongoing basis. Creates and maintains detailed budgeting templates.
Accounting:
Accounts Receivable: Billing, Collections, Invoice Follow Up
Accounts Payable: Accounts Payable, Invoice Processing, Approval Process Management, Payment Disbursement
General Ledger: Journal Entry Preparation, Accruals, Prepaid Amortizations, Asset Depreciation, Revenue Recognition, Etc.
Commission Processing: Calculate and Process Commission Payments for Sales Staff
Expense Management: Audit Expense Reports, Enter into Accounting System
Reconciliations: Reconcile Bank Accounts, Credit Cards & Other Accounts
Reporting: Responsible for Financial Statement Creation, Management Reporting, Financial Compliance & Reporting, Etc.
Miscellaneous Duties:
Communication with all levels of the company including Sr. Management.
Ability to work in a fasted paced environment while being very detailed.
Completes various projects as requested.
Desired Skills &
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree majoring in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience; MBA a plus
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Finance and/or Accounting
Experience with financial analysis, financial modeling, profitability analysis and/or auditing techniques
Experience creating corporate budgets, tracking variances, etc.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting aggressive deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates
Experience with analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
Advanced level skill in Microsoft Office (especially Microsoft Excel) and QuickBooks
Proven ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, tact, professionalism and integrity
Thrives under pressure and comfortable with deadlines
Ability to work with minimal supervision, often without support from others as well as in collaborative settings

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
