Summary:
The General Ledger Bookkeeper is responsible for monthly creation of financial statements by verifying information entered into the GL system, reconciling of balance sheets, resolving outstanding items and manually entry into GL.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Preparation and Entry of Journal Entries
Reconciliation of all Balance Sheet Accounts
Review of Financial Statements
Research and Resolution of any G/L account discrepancies
Review and Entry of Statistic Information
Identification, Entry, & Tagging of Fixed Assets
Communicate with accounting personnel (Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Receivable), and clinic personnel.

Education and/or
Experience:
Associates degree in Accounting or 2 years relevant experience in GL Bookkeeping.
Language Skills :
Read and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
Write routine reports and business correspondence.
Speak effectively with visitors, physicians and other staff members.
Present information and respond to questions from administration, co-workers, physicians, vendors and visitors.
Mathematical Skills :
Add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Compute and apply concepts such as rate, ratio, percentages, proportions and fractions.
Apply accounting principles.
Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
Basic skills in Microsoft Office software, particularly Microsoft Windows, Excel and Outlook.
